Full-property landscaping

Landscaping work that lasts starts below the surface: soil quality, grading, and drainage. A bed installed into compacted, poorly draining soil will struggle no matter how good the plants are, and grass seed spread over exhausted soil is money into the wind.

We handle the groundwork properly: soil amendment, topsoil, grading, so what goes in on top of it has a chance.

What we do

  • Bed installation and renovation: new beds, edging, mulch, and refreshes of tired existing beds
  • Groundcover and plantings: selections suited to your light, soil, and the deer pressure that comes with living here
  • Topsoil, seeding, and fertilization: establishing or repairing lawn areas
  • Grading: correcting slope to move water away from structures
  • Clearing and removal: bushes, stumps, groundcover, and haul-away

The cleanup matters

Customers mention our cleanup in reviews as often as the work itself. When we’re done, the site is left the way you’d want it, not with a pile of debris to deal with yourself.

Landscaping questions we get

Do you handle grading and drainage problems?

Yes, and it's some of the most valuable work we do. Regrading to move water away from a foundation solves problems that homeowners often try to fix indoors first. Several of our customers came to us after basement water issues turned out to be a grading problem outside.

Can you remove old beds, stumps, and overgrowth?

Yes. Clearing, stump removal, and hauling away the debris are routine parts of a full property refresh, and the cleanup afterward is part of the job, not an extra.

What's the best time of year for new plantings?

Spring and fall are generally best in this climate, with fall being underrated: cooler air and warm soil help roots establish before winter. Summer plantings work too but need more watering attention in the first weeks.

What our customers say

"We just had work done by Krafft's Lawn and Landscape. It was a fairly big job, and we were thrilled with the results. When we called, Ryan came out within 24 hours and did a thorough inspection of the site. He listened intently to what we wanted to do and actually heard us. He then gave us a quote for exactly what we needed, at a very fair price. The work they did was thorough and exact, and when they were done, the clean-up was the best we've ever had. They treated our yard like it was their own. Overall, a perfect job, a fair price, with responsive and honest people. They'll be our first choice when we need more work done."

"What a great experience all around!! We had a ~100 ft run of not-so-easy-to-replace fence to replace, rocky space, thru a tree, and dodging limby shrubs, with elevation change. They took care of the permitting for us! and they did a super clean demo and haul away. Setting the new fencing was truly impressive to watch, they took great pains to make sure each section was square, plumb, and level. Really nice work! We love it! We will never hesitate to work with Ryan & Co. again!! Highly recommended!"

"Ryan and the Krafft team did structural and landscaping work for us to mitigate leaking into our basement from torrential rains. The foundation, yard, and sidewalk work they did was top-notch. Bottom line: great work, great price, and great people. They are trustworthy and I'll work with them again for our next project."
