We keep you moving all winter

Snow work is a promise you either keep at 4 a.m. or you don’t. Our contracted route gets plowed first, in a set order, so customers know roughly when they’ll see us rather than waiting all day and calling around.

Commercial snow is about timing, not just plowing

For a business, snow service isn’t really a snow-removal problem. It’s an operating problem. A lot plowed at 10 a.m. is useless to a business that opens at 7. The whole value is in when it happens.

We build commercial routes around opening times, and we set expectations honestly at contract time about where you fall in the route rather than promising everyone they’re first.

What’s covered

  • Parking lots and access lanes cleared at an agreed trigger depth
  • Entrances, walkways, and building approaches
  • Salting and sanding to manage refreeze, which is where most liability actually sits
  • Storm monitoring: you’re not calling us to tell us it snowed

Salting and sanding

Plowing clears the lot. Salting and sanding keeps it that way. A plowed lot that refreezes overnight is a liability problem, not just an inconvenience, which is why for commercial properties it’s usually not optional.

We build it into your service plan for lots, walkways, entrances, and the problem spots that refreeze, like a sloped entrance or a north-facing walkway that never gets sun.

Liability is the real cost

For most commercial properties the plowing bill is small compared to a single slip-and-fall claim. That’s why refreeze management matters as much as the initial clearing, and why we’d rather talk through your specific problem spots, the north-facing walkway that never gets sun, the sloped entrance, than treat every lot as an identical rectangle.

Where we plow

Our snow routes cover commercial properties across Orange County. For larger commercial properties we also take contracts in Dutchess County, in Beacon, Fishkill, and Poughkeepsie.

Book before the season fills

Route capacity is finite and committed well before the first plowable storm, and we’d rather turn down an account in December than take one we can’t service properly. If winter coverage matters, getting on the list in fall is the move.

Beyond snow

We also build commercial hardscaping: permeable paver systems, ADA-compliant access, and concrete curbing for commercial and municipal properties.

Snow Removal questions we get

When should I book snow plowing for the season?

Earlier than most people do. Routes fill up before the first real storm, and we plow our contracted route first. Booking in fall is the difference between being on the route and hoping someone has capacity mid-storm.

At what snowfall depth do you come out?

We set a trigger depth with you when you sign up. Once it's set, you don't need to call; we come automatically when the storm hits that depth.

Can you guarantee the lot is clear before we open?

That's what a commercial contract is for: we build the route around your opening times rather than plowing in whatever order is convenient. Tell us when you need to be operational and we'll tell you honestly whether we can commit to it.

Do you handle salting and sanding too?

Yes. For commercial properties it's usually not optional: a plowed lot that refreezes overnight is a liability problem, not just an inconvenience.

What about sidewalks and entrances?

Walkways, entrances, and building approaches can be included. Worth specifying up front, because these are exactly the surfaces that generate slip-and-fall exposure.

How does seasonal pricing work?

Most commercial accounts prefer a seasonal contract for budget predictability, though per-event pricing is available. We'll lay out both and let you decide which risk you'd rather carry.

What our customers say

"We just had work done by Krafft's Lawn and Landscape. It was a fairly big job, and we were thrilled with the results. When we called, Ryan came out within 24 hours and did a thorough inspection of the site. He listened intently to what we wanted to do and actually heard us. He then gave us a quote for exactly what we needed, at a very fair price. The work they did was thorough and exact, and when they were done, the clean-up was the best we've ever had. They treated our yard like it was their own. Overall, a perfect job, a fair price, with responsive and honest people. They'll be our first choice when we need more work done."

"What a great experience all around!! We had a ~100 ft run of not-so-easy-to-replace fence to replace, rocky space, thru a tree, and dodging limby shrubs, with elevation change. They took care of the permitting for us! and they did a super clean demo and haul away. Setting the new fencing was truly impressive to watch, they took great pains to make sure each section was square, plumb, and level. Really nice work! We love it! We will never hesitate to work with Ryan & Co. again!! Highly recommended!"

"Ryan and the Krafft team did structural and landscaping work for us to mitigate leaking into our basement from torrential rains. The foundation, yard, and sidewalk work they did was top-notch. Bottom line: great work, great price, and great people. They are trustworthy and I'll work with them again for our next project."
